Welcome to Top Tips Tuesday!
This week’s tip is for those homeowners and investors considering going through building construction.
I know there are a lot of stories in the media about the state of the construction industry, getting materials, getting tradespeople and builders going into receivership.
The reality is that the majority of builders and construction companies are going through construction with minimal issues.
I was at a construction site on Saturday with a home buyer client inspecting her build. She was very excited, and the property is progressing really well. There was lots of activity with the entire street well under construction.
The reality is that majority of builders and developers are still progressing. It is taking a bit longer than it used to, however, so that is something you will have to factor in if you want to go through the process.
Things to consider when going through the construction process

If you are considering constructing a property, I would recommend that you check the contracts, ensure that there’s a timeframe for completion and if there is a penalty clause. Do your due diligence and research on the builder, and go with someone that is recommended.
It is important to get expert advice when going through the construction process. I have built many properties myself and helped many clients into their own homes/investment properties. I can guide you step by step through the entire process and advise you of the things you need to consider making the process a smooth one.
