I am going to give you three of the most common traits I’ve seen from very successful property investors.
1. Successful Property Investors are Prepared
The number one trait is they are prepared, and ready to go. They have their finances in place. They’ve got their borrowing capacity, their affordability, and they’ve looked at the cash flow of the property. They understand when the opportunity presents itself they are ready to go.
2. Successful Property Investors are Continuously Looking at the Market
Trait number two is they are continuously looking at the market and they understand that we can never time the market perfectly at the top of the cycle or bottom of the cycle. They are potentially looking at property and when they purchase that property, they’re not concerned about tomorrow, whether it goes up or in value or down, but they know the long-term growth fundamentals are correct.
3. Successful Property Investors Take Action
And thirdly, the most important thing is they look for opportunities. They do the numbers, they take action. Instead of just talking about it, they do it. We have all heard stories from people that have said, I wish I bought the property next door, 10 years ago or 20 years ago and quote the figures. But we can’t go back and change that.
Successful property investors say yes to opportunity! We’re ready to go. Let’s make the investment and start reaping the rewards over the longer term.
